This is amazing advice that I have been practicing with my eldest two and myself . I have used deep breaths and EFT since my big girls were little. Found out recently that what helps one child doesn’t necessarily another when my 3 years old got really angry over some wooden block that wouldn’t stay the way she wanted. I didn’t have time to say anything she looked at me and said “no I do not want to take a deep breath” before resuming her pouting. Made me smile but also realise that she needs something else, in her case it’s go away from the situation, be picked up and nursed for a few minutes . ❤️

Yes! True. Sometimes we want them to calm down before they are ready to, as well.
