This week, you get to relax a bit! You and your kids will watch movies—two of them, twice! Get your popcorn ready!
The goal of this week’s activity is to teach your kids about compare and contrast—how to find similarities and differences.
Directions:
Pick a film that has two versions (animated and action; two different eras)
Watch them both (first time for pleasure, second for a deep dive)
Use a clipboard with a sheet of paper that has a line down the center. On one column put compare and on the other, contrast
Note similarities and differences between them. Jot them down
Up the ante and select a dialog that is in both films. Load one up on the iPad and the other on the computer. Watch the two scenes back to back and discuss their similarities and differences
That’s it!
Come back here and share what you learned and which movies you picked.
