I completely agree with this article and I do make it a priority to read out loud, but as my kids are getting older, I’m finding it harder and harder to fit in the amount of books that I’d like to. I’d love to know the practical ways of how others fit in more books into their homeschool lives and still do all of things for life and learning with older children, if anyone would be willing to share!

I wholeheartedly agree! Reading aloud daily has brought us such joy. I do well up in those tender moments and my 5yo will now ask “Happy tears?” Lol! We still talk about all of our favourites characters too, especially “silly Mr Toad!” I’m often reading aloud while intense Lego builds are being created, and there’s often a cat or two curled up nearby - perfect. ❤️
